Southern Fried Sunday #OrlandoUnited Edition
Southern Fried Sunday’s Annual Summer Benefit Fest for 2016 is: Soul Fried Sunday #OrlandoUnited Edition for Pulse Recovery
30 acts on 5 stages at Will’s Pub and St. Matthew’s Tavern performing with the intention of assisting in recovery from the Pulse tragedy. For this event, SFS teamed up with The Sh-Booms, area event promoters of The Grand Collab, Smashington, Quality Control, and a diverse array of talent representing the musical soul of Orlando, as well as a few touring acts with a desire to help our city at this time.
Money raised from this Mills 50 District sponsored event is being donated to a fund for long term mental health counseling for Pulse survivors, staff and victims’ families established by The GLBT Community Center of Central Florida in conjunction with Dr. David Baker-Hargrove President/CEO of Two Spirit Health Services, Inc.. Dr. Baker-Hargrove, or Dr. Dave, provides mental health services to the GLBT and allied population. He, along with a team of mental health care professionals he’s assembled, have been instrumental in assisting those directly affected by the Pulse nightclub shooting with their needs. With this SFS the goal is to help those who need these services long into the future. http://twospirithealth.org/ www.thecenterorlando.org
